MetaSolv Software (Booth #49015) announces the release of Activation 5, MetaSolv’s next-generation solution for multiservice activation across all technology domains.

Activation 5 is specifically positioned to address the activation of both high-volume mass-market services as well as more complex, customer specific services using a combination of both state less and state full activation to support both types of activation needs, often as part of the same multi--service activation process. This is enabled through the integration of two complementary industry--leading activation capabilities--MetaSolv ASAP--a comprehensive, multi-technology, multivendor activation platform and MetaSolv IP Service Activator--an expert activation engine uniquely focused on delivering QoS enabled, IP-based services.

Activation 5 manages the full activation process, providing transactional integrity across the end-to-end activation process. Such activation control also enables the orchestration of existing activation engines as part of the activation process, thereby allowing service providers to leverage existing activation investment whenever possible. This approach, already applied in multiple engagements, insulates and abstracts the activation processing details for multi-service requests from upstream systems and simplifies the overall OSS architecture.
