•  Mr. Charlie Feld, Executive Vice President, Portfolio Management , EDS

Mr. Feld leads the development of EDS’ portfolio of service offerings and solutions, which includes the following groups: infrastructure portfolio, application portfolio, BPO portfolio, industry frameworks, alliances, technology development and portfolio strategy. He is also responsible for the office of the CIO and the EDS Fellows, a group of the corporation’s most innovative thought leaders. Mr. Feld is a member of EDS’ Executive Committee. He previously founded The Feld Group in 1992.

•  Thor Geir Ramleth, Senior Vice President & CIO, Bechtel Group

Mr. Ramleth leads the global information systems and technology organization. Prior to rejoining Bechtel in January 2002, Mr. Ramleth held leadership positions for a variety of companies in the technology and communications industry. Among his responsibilities in those roles, he defined strategy and market position and secured multiple forms of financial resources.

•  Toby E. Redshaw, Corporate Vice President, Corporate IT Strategy, Architecture & eBusiness, Motorola

Mr. Redshaw oversees the company’s enterprise-wide IT blueprint, including the integration of IT solutions across Motorola’s various business sectors, anticipating IT industry future directions, and establishing the IT architecture and standards across the organization. He co-chairs the enterprise-wide eBusiness efforts. In addition, he also has primary responsibility for IT business development that will create appropriate partnerships, joint development efforts and alliances, to successfully drive additional value creation through business strategies and drive new breakthrough corporate IT initiatives.

Mr. Seidenberg is chairman of the board and chief executive officer for Verizon. On November 6, 2003, Verizon announced that Mr. Seidenberg would become chairman of the board effective January 1, 2004. He has served as the sole CEO since April 1, 2002. As chief executive of Bell Atlantic, and previously of NYNEX, Mr. Seidenberg was instrumental in reshaping the communications industry through two of the largest mergers in its history: the merger of Bell Atlantic and NYNEX in 1997 and the Bell Atlantic merger with GTE in 2000.

Since January 1995, when he assumed the position of president and CEO, Mr. Chambers has grown the company from US$1.2 billion in annual revenues to its current run-rate of approximately US$23.6 billion. He has been lauded by government leaders and countless publications worldwide for his visionary strategy, his ability to drive an entrepreneurial culture, and his warm-hearted, straight-talking approach. Recently Mr. Chambers has spearheaded several key global initiatives, including co-sponsorship of the Jordan Education Initiative, in partnership with his Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan and the World Economic Forum.

•  William Owens, President & CEO, Nortel Networks

Previously, Mr. Owens was CEO and chairman of Teledesic LLC and president, COO and vice chairman of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), the U.S.’s largest employee-owned high-technology company. Prior to joining SAIC, Mr. Owens was vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the second-ranking military officer in the United States. He had responsibility for the reorganization and restructuring of the armed forces in the post-Cold War era.
 
•  Lothar Pauly, President & CEO, Siemens Communications

Mr. Pauly was born in Bad Homburg, Germany, on March 4, 1959. After studying business administration in Munich, he joined the telecommunication networks and security systems group of Siemens AG in 1987. He then took on a variety of business administration responsibilities, including positions in the Czech Republic, Poland and Indonesia. In 1996 he was named head of the mobile networks division before moving to the Board of the Mobile Group as COO in April 2000. Since October 2004 he has been the President and CEO of Siemens Communications. In addition, he is responsible for mobile and fixed networks in the Carrier segment.
 
•  Krish A. Prabhu , President & CEO, Tellabs

Mr. Prabhu began his telecommunications career in 1980 at AT&T’s Bell Laboratories as a member of the technical staff. In 1984, he joined Rockwell International’s Network Transmission Division, where he served in various positions in research and development as well as management. After Rockwell’s Network Transmission Division was acquired by Alcatel in 1991, Prabhu became vice president of business development and CEO at Alcatel Network Systems, a role in which he oversaw research, product development and business development.
 
•  Patricia F. Russo, Chairman & CEO, Lucent Technologies

Ms. Russo was one of the founding executives who helped launch Lucent in 1996 and has spent 20 years of her career managing some of Lucent's and AT&T's largest divisions and most critical corporate functions. Before returning to Lucent in January 2002, she served as president and chief operating officer of Eastman Kodak Company, overseeing the day-to-day operations of Kodak's operating divisions. Prior to this appointment, Russo was chairman of the board of Avaya.

•  F. Duane Ackerman, Chairman & CEO, BellSouth Corporation

Mr. Ackerman began his communications career in 1964, and has served in numerous capacities with BellSouth. He was named president, CEO of BellSouth Telecommunications, BellSouth’s local telephone service unit and largest subsidiary, in November, 1992. He was promoted to vice chairman and COO of the parent company, BellSouth Corporation, on January 1, 1995, and was elevated to the position of president and CEO of BellSouth on January 1, 1997. On January 1, 1998, Mr. Ackerman was appointed chairman and chief executive officer of BellSouth.

Ian  Foster •  Ian Foster, Co-Founder of the GRID & Associate Director, Mathmatics and Computer Science Division, Argonne National Laboratory and Professor of Computer Science, University of Chicago

Dr. Foster, co-author of "The Grid: Blueprint for a New Computing Infrastructure", is an internationally recognized researcher and leader in the area of Grid computing. His Distributed Systems Lab at Argonne National Laboratory and the University of Chicago is home to the Globus Toolkit, the open source software that has emerged as the de facto standard for Grid computing.
