Telect (Booth #29030) launches new high-speed connectorized terminal blocks supporting advanced DSL (ADSL2+) buildout by reducing insertion loss, crosstalk and return loss, all in an industry-standard main distribution frame (MDF) front-facing design that's simple to deploy and highly cost-effective.

The innovative new MDF blocks address a simple limitation that service providers face today: as DSL speeds increase, any weak point in the network reduces the distance, and therefore the number of homes, where service providers can deploy DSL. By removing the limitations inherent to standard voice frequency terminal blocks, high-speed blocks can help service providers offer customers the high data speeds they demand without a major capital investment.

Existing central office locations can serve more homes within the maximum DSL range by minimizing signal rate loss.

Two standards are available based on performance specifications: High-speed (HS) and high-speed-plus (HS+); HS+ terminal blocks require the use of Telect’s Cat 5-wired 25-pair or 32-pair connectorized cable.

High performance enables the maximum use of existing copper loop and huts rather than re-installing fiber, reducing overall deployment expenses and providing quicker revenue generation.

Vast number of configurations are available to fit a variety of standards, practices and specifications.
