Performance Technologies (Booth #79080) is introducing the MG6000 Media Gateway Blade and the complementary NexusWare MG software suite at SUPERCOMM. The MG6000 combines Performance Technologies' world-class media and voice processing, network access and signaling components into an integrated, turnkey solution for media gateway applications. Designed to be a drop-in solution, the MG6000 can be used in trunk gateways, Class 5 replacement switches, digital loop carriers, access gateways, radio network controllers, mobile switching centers and base station controllers.

The complementary NexusWare MG software suite delivers complete media gateway, media server and signaling gateway capabilities on the company’s MG6000 and MTN4300 hardware platforms. It provides turnkey functionality as well as a development environment for custom or non-standard applications. NexusWare MG builds upon the capacity provided by the company’s Linux-based NexusWare Core development environment, by integrating the media processing functionality encapsulated within the company’s UniPorte Media and Voice Processing Software.

NexusWare MG provides media gateway control protocols such MGCP, IP call control protocols such as SIP, and PSTN signaling protocols such as Q.931 and SS7. In addition, NexusWare MG provides an application programming interface (API) common across all Performance Technologies products, which allows OEMs to bring gateway solutions to market faster.

The MG6000 and NexusWare MG are available immediately.
