Wireless workforce management

MDSI (Booth #72077) announces a new application for its Advantex enterprise wireless workforce management solution. Advantex Workforce Availability allows dispatchers, managers and system administrators to optimally plan, create and adjust workforce schedules. Its new, enhanced user interface simplifies viewing of schedule summaries and improves task flows for making recurring day-to-day schedule adjustments.
WA replaces the existing Resource Scheduling (7.x) functionality and enables users to create templates to effectively manage common, recurring shift patterns. Users can easily apply these templates to multiple technician profiles using the convenient graphical display and drag-and-drop functionality. WA provides increased flexibility for scheduling working and non-working time, areas, locations and crews. Scheduling changes for day-to-day activities, such as assigning sick time or adding overtime, can be handled more quickly with WA.

including Gantt views
- Provides templates that reduce intensive data entry and require fewer
keystrokes
- Simplifies entry of bulk changes and ad-hoc events like sick days
- Simplifies filtering and selection of mobile users (for example, grouped
