Ethernet aggregation and cross-connect

ANDA Networks introduces the EtherDAX 6000, developed specifically to provide cost-effective Ethernet aggregation and cross-connect for consolidating managed Ethernet private line, transparent LAN, and SAN connections for business customers requiring a simple Ethernet interface at the customer premises with connection into the packet-switched network.
The new product from ANDA effectively fills the gap between edge devices and large and expensive switches and routers, with an affordable, high-throughput system. The new product can aggregate thousands of Ethernet CPE devices. The new product also supports large-scale migration of legacy network traffic from frame relay into Ethernet-enabling tens of millions of existing frame relay circuits supported by routers to be utilized quickly and cost-effectively without expensive forklift upgrades or additions of frame relay, ADM or MSPP equipment.
The EtherDAX 6000 augments the legacy network with Ethernet services and access while enabling the network evolution to the new Ethernet, Pseudo-wire and IP/MPLS network via either copper-based or fiber-based transport network.
The EtherDAX 6000 is attractive to not only incumbent service providers with large installed bases of frame relay and Sonet equipment, but also competitive carriers that have access to dark fiber or seek to minimize the cost of using expensive leased private lines to provide metro Ethernet access.
