Multi-fiber service terminal
May 24, 2005 11:18 AM
ADC (Booth #20018, #21066, #23018) introduces the OmmiReach Multi-Fiber Service Terminal (MST). Cost-modeling exercises show compelling financial benefits to making correct decisions about FTTX architecture in the earliest stages of network planning. Architectures utilizing hardened connectors have proved to save both initial and future network expenses by reducing the number of splices, splice technicians and splice crew deployments.
ADC’s OmniReach Multi-Fiber Service Terminal (MST) uses hardened connector technology and is the newest addition to the OmniReach portfolio of infrastructure solutions. Designed to withstand extreme outside plant conditions and accelerate deployment, the OmniReach MST features OptiTap ruggedized connector housings that are factory terminated and environmentally sealed.
Available in 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 port versions, the OmniReach MST is a self-contained unit designed for superior durability and reliability in the drop segment of the network. No enclosure is required, and the unit may be pole-, slab-, pedestal- or aerial-mounted. Through a technology transfer agreement with Corning Cable Systems, ADC manufactures and integrates OptiTap ruggedized connector housings into all OmniReach MST units.
