Wave7 Optics (Booth #14058) introduces The Last Mile Sentinel (LMS) 3.2 which increases automation capabilities to create flexible quality-of-service bandwidth packages for data services (in increments of 64 kilobits), software upgrades on device discovery, improved “flow-through” ease of billing with regards to subscriber account, and location information and reports to support billing audits. This flow-through provisioning interface has been extended in LMS 3.2 to allow subscriber account number and address information to automatically flow from the billing system to the customer premises devices. This information can be used to populate device name, device location, and DHCP relay fields in the device.

Bandwidth packages for data services allow for the easy setup and assignment of rate packages in LMS or automatic assignment via the LMS OSS Connector product. Bandwidth rate packages are customer defined using an automated tool that requires very little data entry or QoS knowledge. Furthermore, bandwidth packages can be used in an open access situation where there are multiple data service carriers.

The LMG full Audit report provides a list of all deployed LMGs and the administrative and operational states of all ports on those devices. This report shows current device settings and can be used as part of an audit against the information in the customer's billing system.
